I am so grateful for skiing. It has been an integral part of why I am who I am. The freedom of flying down a mountain has been one of my favorite experiences since childhood. I have been hurt many times, including breaking my sternum and of course, a blown knee, but the good experiences make those injuries insignificant. I taught skiing for years and the ski industry still financially supports my family, in a round about way. All of the tourists that come to the now infamous Jackson Hole Mountain Resort fill my books with massages all winter. I even get to ski on my "lunch breaks". Now I am blessed enough to teach my own kids to ski and watching them discover the same freedom and pure joy of skiing is a reward in itself.
As this ski season comes to an end, I will add, I am also grateful for no injuries this season, great early season snow, powder skiing with my kids, and that I am still better and faster than they are.
Little sister is facing her fears and doing a great job!
Families that ski together stay together!
Whoo hoo! Fresh Snow!
